Can you point me in the right direction for setting the component to have the new message sound on by default instead of off. Thanks again for all the help that you have provided.

The sound is off by default. In the config you can set allow sound (for show the icon, the user will be able to turn on or off it)

What does the parameter Bans Minutes stand for and what does it do?

For some reason, any time I place the component on a page on my site, it works great for awhile and then, if I leave that page and then come back, it takes forever for the page to load. When I remove the chat component, it works fine. Put it back, and I have the same problem. The page takes forever to load.

Got any advice?

Umm, I don't know, can I test it in your site? Is it published?

I had to disable it so the members could see the forums. I had placed the component in Kunena_Announcement position just above the forum threads. I have removed the component and replaced it with the module and it seems to be working fine. Is there any way to see who's online in the module like we do in the component?

I can re-enable the component on another page if you would like and then send you the information for my site. You would however have to register on the site because very few pages on the site are set to public.

I reinstalled the mod and it is all working now. Me and one other Admin are a super admin but I have admins and mods as well... how would i give them permissions to delete posts and ban abusers.

Ummm, it's hard, I have to do few changes. I think is better to wait Joomla 1.6, that has improved the permissions
