I have installed the count down module here on the Home pagea of the website
www.specracersports.com

It doesn't display when you first load the page. It will display after I browser any other page on the website then return to the Home page.

Can you tell me why it doesn't load on the initial page load?

Yes. The module is supposed to display right under the clock, at the top of the page, over the chequered flags. If you go to the Home page, then browse to one of the other pages on the website & then go back to the Home page is displays OK. I don't know why it won't display on the first page load.

It is Joomla 1.5.9 I have the problem in FireFox & IE. I am using a RocketTheme template TerranTribune.

I am thinking it may be a javascript conflict but I don't know enough about Javascript to fix it.

It is not my countdown.

Go to administrator > modules > the countdown module, select: display in all menus.

If it doesn't display in home, add that line in your index.php (in Joomla's root)

Oh oh! I think I tried all the count down modules trying to find one that worked. I must have got confused.

I tried adding your line of code right before the </body> tag but it appears in the front end (see attached screen shot of bottom of page)


If the module is in the header2 position, should I change header to header2 in the code you gave me?

For some reason it seems to load OK now so maybe my problem is solved? I'm not sure why except I have changed a few things, I turned on sh404SEF & turned off cache.

The problem is already solved, it was SEO (and cache was corrupt). You had to have added in the index.php, the file that is in the root, not in ./template/{your-template}
